GJRBT

Hi....  GJRBT means "Golden Jubilee Rural Bicycle Tour". Our institute is celebrating its Golden Jubilee. We went for Rural Bicycle Tour as a small event of the series of the events in this celebration. there two segments of this tour one 25 kilo meters and other one 65KM. This became a huge event as there were more than 1100 bicyclists registered for this. We, means almost all the Wingies(Wingmates), went for the 25KM. The root was along a canal passing by the sides of 2 or 3 villages.

  The root was funny and we make it funnier, we enjoyed it a lot. There were Mngo trees on which we tried to climb at a hight.

        We started from the SAC(Students' Activity Center) chauraha. We started in the last as one can see that none is there behind us.

      Yes, of course there were girls also but they finished soon without enjoying the tour that much.

      There was tarcoal road after that road made by bricks and after it we have to draw our bicycles on such a path shown in the above picture.

     Yes This is me with one of my brothers at IITK Vaibhav Jain.

   After all I wanna to introduce all of the guys in the above picture. From the left myself, My brothers Arpan Jain, Vaibhav Jain and Navneet Singhal, Senator Anurag Dash, Aman Agarwal, Chick Gaurav Sharma and below is a guy perhaps from Hall 3.

I day after II Mid Sems

Hi....,     How it be, can most probably, full of masti so perhaps it was. I saw 9th IPL match played at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, New Delhi between my favourite Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils. Sachin rocked with his stunning innings of 63 runs in 32 balls with the help of 11 fours. And MI defeated DD by 98 runs. After watching this I watched two movies 300 and Dev D with few of my wing mates (wingies, as they are affectionately called.). And after getting freshed I went to the bed at 0430hrs. After that I was waken up by one of my best wingies and friends Siddharth Gaur (Sid) at 0745 hrs to attend the ESC102 class at 0800 hrs. I woke up , wore T-Shirt and Trouser, brushed my teeth and reached the class. I am habitual of taking sleeps of 8 hrs in a day so I could not keep myself awaken in the lecture and slept sitting in the front row. I don't know what was taught in the class but instructor commented something on me.
At 0900hrs., I moved with the mob to TB for the MTH102 tutorial session and placed myself in the last row to enjoy the effortless naps but unexpectly I didn't slept in this tutorial session. Assignment 3 for Vector Spaces was discussed shortly in 40 minutes.
I quickly headed towards my hall because I had a chance to get the breakfast which gets delivered till 1000hrs. I took breakfast and passed my three hours here and there. At 1300 hrs., I recieved a call from my home and went to there. I watched movie 'Welcome to Sajjanpur' there and returned at 2300 hrs. Here was a raid by the members of Hall Executive Committee (HEC) who are a few sophomores of our hall. After that now I am going to sleep because I have to join PE102, which I have already missed in permissible number, tomorrow at 0645hrs.

II Mid Semester Exams

Hi,     or I should say hi.....,hi.... How badly anyone can fuck one's exams may have a precident from me in this exam. I did not prepare for any of the courses which I had to face in the II Mid Sem Exams.
The period of these exam was 15/03/2010 to 17 March, 2010. Well on the first day I had to wear the brunt of  ESC102. The syllabus was about Circuit Analysis of circuits containing Transistors, Operational Amplifiers etc. An easy one as I had expected but I was not enough right and this was not too easy to be solved by me. May be a score of 25 out of 40.
The next day there was a paper for MTH102. What a crap..... . As I had expected and due to a lack of preparation, it was a harder one for me so I gave many non sense reasons, proofs for Matrices and Determinants problems. I also cannot understand what I have written in my Answer script, Well my work is not to understand that its profs' work and they are much more intelligent than me. As the previous exam and marks most probably I'll repeat the same line, 10 out of 40.
And on the next and last day, there were two exams one for TA101 at 0800 hrs. This was an easy one Isometric View of an object was to be drawn which was a little assignment for us. This was harmful for me because in the easy paper everyone can score well and I had scored well in the I Mid Sems so I was praying for a hard, rock tough exam paper; but it was not. I can't guess about the marks for this exam because highly depends on the mood of the examiner.
And the other exam was for PHY103, the last and toughest one (for me). I tried to give my best in this paper but only in the examination hall not in the preparation because inside the exam hall you have nothing to do except solving the question paper. It was about Electro statics and dynamics, Magnetostatics, Maxwells' equations and Poynting theorem etc. I may score about above 20 out of 40 in this.
Well IPL is going on. I like Mumbai Indians for The Legend of Cricket Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar and after that Punjab Kings XI for Yuvraj Singh and Pretty Preeti Zinta. It was painful to see the defeat of KXIP by BRC after scoring so much runs. Well I put my hat off for the innings of SR Tendulkar against DD. I watched this innings with my wingmates in the Outreach Auditorium, IIT Kanpur. It was a great fun to watch this.

OK now I am going to sleep after watching two back to back movies so that I can get up to attend the class of ESC102 at 0800hrs.  Bye.......

I Mid Semester Exams

What the hell these exams!! Simply as every(almost) student I also hate such things.
These exams were on 04-05 and 06 th February, 2010. As expected I just fucked up my exams due to lack of preparation. What the hell I do before the exams I don't know as I am writing this when I have to face the exam today at 1700 hrs.
The first one on 4th Feb was of ESC102. This was an easy one as everyone might score full marks but I couldn't. I could manage only 86.66%.
The next day there was exam for MTH102. As Its previous version (may be I am right) MTH101, this also all greek and latin for me. Any how I passed my exam hour and could get only 10 out of 40.
On 6th Feb, there was two exams one for TA101 at 0800hrs and one for PHY103 at 1730hrs. In the TA101, I was the only(UNIQUE) student who drew the Top and Front view at the different ends of the drawing sheet and in the last 10 minutes I could understand my mistake when I had to draw Projection lines, then I drew the Top view above the front one. And I got 28 out of 40 (If I have remembered it correctly).
In PHY103. yuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkkk, What a dangerous course, Gauss, Maxwell, Laplace many and much more blaw blaw. Although I cannot understand anything, I have to attend the classes so that I can prepare the notes for the examinations. Oh this is terrible for me to pass a full hour with the question paper of PHY103 alone in the examination hall. In such a pitiable condition I could get 16 out 40. ;(

Well now I have my II Mid Semester Examination on the head, I mean today at 1700 hrs. I have not prepared for that so I can just rely on God and friends and of course on the instructor who has to grade the students in the last.
OK I think its enough for now as per the time.

                                    Except it today, it was a fine day for me. As usual I have to attend a class at 8:00 AM in such a chilling winter. I have attended all the classes (Actually there were only two lectures and a Discussion Hour, No lab at all).
                                    I kept taking naps in the first lecture of Introduction to Electronics(ESC102). I actually wake up to attend this class but unfortunately can not wake up properly. After that I attended Mathes Tutorial in which the Assignment 2  was to be discussed a easy one we did it in half of an hour. After it I have to attend Physics 2 (PHY103) lecture at 12:00 PM. Its truely confusing what to write after 12:00 AM or PM, well perhaps I did right. I wish I could publish MTH assignments and lectures too.
                                       OK Thats it for now and I am going to attend the PHY103 lecture.

About Me and My Courses

                 First of all I wanna introduce myself as a student of IIT Kanpur. By now I am in the second semster of my four year B. Tech programme and my department is Biological Sciences and Biotechnology (BSBE).

                Well I am here to post something almost everyday about the things which are going on in my lecture hall as a revision what I am getting from the lectures of a prestigeous college and what I can give to the others.

  TA101- This course is said to be tougher than other courses listed above. We are being instructed by Dr. Brijesh Eshpuniyani . Well in this course we are exposed to the methods to make appropriate graphics and drawing with hands for the tools, machines, bridges etc. We have to attend a laboratory session, two lectures and a tutorial per week.

  ESC102- Wow this is my favourite course not because of its contents but because of its instructor Dr. A R Harish. His way of teaching I like and enjoy the most thats why I get up from the warm bed and attend the class at 8:00 Am in such a chilling weather. In this course we study the basic concepts of electronics and circuit designing, analyzing and solving. This course also has a laboratory session, one Discussion hour, One tutorial and three lectures per week.

  MTH102- This course seems to me boring I wanna do better in this course. Dr. Nandini Nilakantan (I couldn't find her web page) is the instructor for this course. Complex Analysis, Complex Geometry and linear Algebra will be taught in this course. In this course I have to attend three lectures, one Discussion Hour, One tutorial per week.

   PHY103- We are being instructed by Dr. S Anantha Ramakrishna. He'll deliver lectures till half of the semester after that Dr. Harshwardhan Wanare will teach us. This course is mainly to give a glance of the beauty of Electrodynamics, Electrostatics, Quantum Mechanics etc. We have One DIPA session, One IPSA session and Three lectures per week in this course.

  D0- This is an introductory course to let us know about our department, our Professors, our upcoming courses, our upcoming assignments, projects etc. We can get familiarize with our department thats why this course is being conducted. Every Thursday once a week we have to attend a lecture and a prof comes to give introduction what he is doing, what he will teach us, what type of researches are going on in that particular field etc. I am not going to post the information about this course any more.

  PE102- I hate it. What is this? We are forced to do the physical excercise in the evening and we have to join it at any cost because it is a zero credit course where you get a S (success) grade only for your attendance. Well its better than PE101. That was in the first semester twice in a week early at 6:00 AM.
